Promise Ochibry is a legal practitioner in active legal practice at Ekwere, Ekwere and Associates and a growing specialisation in startup, technology law. She advises tech startup founders and digital businesses on company formation and structuring, intellectual property protection, corporate governance and compliance, commercial contracts and agreements, risk management, and regulatory compliance. She currently serves as Legal Consultant to Shop Naija Brands, an e-commerce platform where she prepares and reviews legal documents, translates complex regulations into practical tools for digital businesses, and provides guidance on corporate governance.

Promise is a passionate advocate for tech legal education — committed to making the law accessible, practical, and actionable for entrepreneurs and creators at every stage of their journey. She is a regular speaker at conferences and events across Nigeria on legal issues in the digital space.

She also serves as Deputy State Coordinator and Director of Partnerships at the YALI Akwa Ibom State Hub, forging strategic partnerships between organisations to advance the Hub’s mission of civic engagement, entrepreneurship, and community development among young African leaders in Akwa Ibom State.
